Level E

Level E

Episodes: 1 – (Unknown)

Air Date:  11th / January / 2011

Note:

Level-E, the show’s REALLY FUNNY! from the get go. When I was watching it the first thing that came to mind was Cromartie High School and GREAT TEACHER ONIZUKA!!!!! With a HUGEEEE PIMP SLAP FROM GINTAMA! (nice blend huh? :P), so yea it gets the seal of approval and yup I do recommend that you watch the show if you’d love a good laugh that is, and to be honest I haven’t laughed as hard as I did while watching a series since Great Teacher Onizuka. WOW, I’m still dumb founded by how good and genuinely funny it is. I swear if someone doesn’t shoot BAKA OJII-SAMA! (excuse!! my Japanese 😛 )Yukitaka will!!  The shows is based on an alien prince who crash lands on earth and starts living with a Japanese High School Student (Yukitaka), and if that isn’t enough for you Yoshihiro Togashi is the creator of the series (he created Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter).

Highlander: The Search for Vengeance

Highlander: The Search for Vengeance (2007)

Rated: R

Running Time: 86mins

Overview:

Highlander!!!! Believe it or not there is a Highlander anime and it’s quite good. For the Highlander fans out there it doesn’t follow the highlander continuity, where as you would normally get Connor or Duncan Macleod.

I enjoyed the film it was quite satisfying to see an animated feature film for the highlander and to be honest it does live up to what we would expect a highlander film to be. The artwork is quite exquisite but hey we wouldn’t  expect anything less from Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Ninja Scroll). Colin Macleod is the main character for this film and out of all the highlanders we have seen so far he definitely isn’t your typical Macleod but yes he does have love for a specific woman like all Macleod’s do. Marcus Octavius, don’t know how else to put it but the guy’s one of those “Elitist” type bitches who thinks they are better than anyone, but hey if I was to go on about him it’ll take up most of the review. The most interesting part of the film (for me) was how both Colin and Marcus’ history were woven together throughout time, you see how far Colin would go for his vengeance and you see how ambitious Marcus is. Overall I do believe this film is watchable for anyone who wants to see some action scenes with a teasing storyline. The action scenes may not be as memorable as some from Ninja Scroll but they do look quite great.I can’t say the film will leave you with the impact that Ninja Scroll would (for those who’ve seen it) but its a great watch none the less. There Can Only Be One!!! HAHA YEAH I HAD TO SAY IT!

Dragon Crisis

Dragon Crisis

Episodes:  1 – (Unknown)

Air Date:  11th / January / 2011

Note:

Dragon Crisis!!!! The show didnt look like much cause I felt as if I wasn’t going to get past the first episode, but something happened in that ep and I got abit more interested in seeing the outcome of the show . The story seems to revolve around Ryuuji, Erika and Rose and since i dont have much info on the show except for  everything I saw int he first episode thats going to be all i can provide you with :(. Rose is actually a dragon who has been placed in a Specially Enforced Case, when She wakes up to sees Ryuuji she takes a liking to him (like a kid when you get your first taste of ice cream haha!). The show definitely is on the fun side of things (thanks to Erika), but maybe its too early to tell, but  yeah episode 1 was a great introductory ep!. It’s a dragon show so I can’t help but say it feels like Dragonaut: The Resonance and Dragon Drive and I enjoyed both shows especially Dragonaut: The Resonance (you’ll get a review of that show in the future not too sure when though!). So yeah Dragon Crisis does seem pretty kool thus far but it has to pass The 5 Episode TEST! So do check it out if you are interested in dragons with a sci-fi twist.

Freezing

Freezing

Episodes:  1 – (Unknown)

Air Date:8th / January / 2011

Note:

Freezing, so yeah, I’m 3 weeks late with the Intel, but hey who cares!!! Once it’s acceptable enough to make you check it out I do believe you would be satisfied!!! :D. The show seems VERY ECCHI!, so……ECCHI FANS WE HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU TO WATCH!!! Lol lol.

The Show deals with Aoi Kazuya who enrolls into the Genetics Military Academy. The students at the school are being prepped to fight against the invading aliens called NOVA (I have zero Intel on these bitches). The story follows Aoi Kazuya and Satellizer El Bridgette (the BITCH is as much BAD ASS AS HER NAME!!)  and their trials and tribulations at the academy and im going to assume they are essential to the final battle with the NOVA in later episodes (Currently 3 Episodes Aired). The fight scenes are really good thus far despite being abit over the top, but I LIKE WHAT IVE SEEN!!!!. The custom design reminds me of Fate-Stay Night!, but yeah I definitely recommend this show to anyone who wants a good action flick for the beginning of 2011, but if your not into Jiggling B ( o ) ( o ) B S and Pantsu Shots STAY AWAY!!!!

Steamboy

Steamboy (2004)

Rated: PG13

Running Time: 116 mins

Overview:

Steamboy, this is another masterpiece from Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira). It’s also the most expensive Japanese Animated film of all time 2.6 Billion Yen ($20 Million USD) in production cost. When i heard Katsuhiro had written and directed the film i had big expectations before seeing it and Katsuhiro he did not disappoint. The film has been drawn quite beautifully and the storyline is quite good. The sensitivity in the movie gave it a realistic type feeling whilst you were watching. It definitely has a Hayao Miyazaki aura about it, and if you’re unfamiliar with him he wrote and directed both Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Spirited Away (CLASSIC ANIME FILMS!!!).

The Main character for the film is Ray Steam; he was very likable character from his introduction, he shows a lot of guts and plenty spirit for a kid his age to perform the stunts that he did throughout the film, (I know for a fact that I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish these feats at all!! haha :|) so yeah he definitely left a good impression on me when the film ended (Suckiest Part of the FILM!!!!), but what really caught my eyes were how all the technology in the film were being used, and how everything that was mobile was actually powered from Steam POWA!!!. After seeing such engineering in the film (fiction or not) it made me realize how technical and complex a machine can be on the inside. In general this film is a family film (I’d let my kids watch it for, when i get some of course haha), but if you’re unsure of letting your kids watch it, just watch it before hand.

Wolverine (Anime)

Wolverine

Episodes: 1 -12

Air Date:  7th / January / 2011

Wolverine!!!! and yes this is the X-Men’s wolverine i’m talking about, the dude with the Adamantium claws!!! :D. I’m not really surprised theres an actual Anime for Wolverine because Marvel has been pimping themselves all over town and i mean seriously, sold it self to Walt Disney, Spiderman reboot (brought venom too early) but leeeeeeetssssssssssss get back on point!. I’ve actually known about this series for sometime guess i didn’t think you guys would be interested but hey who am i kidding maybe it’ll be good or maybe it’ll suck ass, only one way to find out is by WATCHING IT!!!.

In the Anime i believe the storyline is when he went to japan. I actually don’t know much about (DC FAN BOY ALERT!!!, GREEN LANTERN FTW!!!! 🙂 ) that specific storyline. I think its about one of his lovers being kidnapped, he gets fucked up (yea i know, he has regenerative powers how can he get fucked up) but hey should be interesting to see. As usual i have given you a trailer to let you see what you are getting visually.

Everything seems to be going according to plan, however while trying to attain the strength to overpower the Blue Yuji loses a piece of himself. At what cost would it take for Yuji to realize what is needed to survive from the Blue and Himself.

Overview:

Blue Gender, I’m going to be pretty honest here I didn’t expect it to be a good show, but I got quickly sucked in!, right about now I feel like slapping myself for depriving myself of this show for so long (four years) and HOT DAMN 😐 the shows really frikkin good!!!!

First off let’s talk about what grasp my attentions was Marlene, she was cold and precise and the way she did it made her HAWT!!!, for some reason I like characters that have a cold streaks, however during the course of the story you’ll understand why she’s cold and detached. Yuji, he’s the main character didn’t care much for him in the beginning thanks to all whining he was doing, but evidently I said myself what if you were sleeping and you were supposed to be getting a cure, but when you wake you up and some monster with a VAGINA!!!! for a mouth tries to eat you HTF would you react like seriously?, but hey I understood where he was coming from.  During the course of earlier episodes you see his character slowly changes, but he sticks to morals and ethics right through! (Gotta give it to him for that). Yuji and Marlene don’t look like your typical main protagonists in truth, why? She’s lethal and he’s more like a rookie soldier out to prove a point, but because of some circumstances you do see why they fit the bill for the occasion and how well they execute their roles in this series.  Overall I did enjoy this series but I can’t say it’s one of the best Anime Series out there, but it’s definitely one of the better shows out there.
